For Teachers

Teachers provide an important role in building on as well as refining the knowledge students have acquired from visiting the Kids helping Kids website. The 'Links to the classroom' are ideas for teachers to stimulate extra thought and discussion with students, and build on the experiences and understandings gained through their engagement thus far.  Fact Sheets are downloadable for both teacher and student use. The resources on this page are aimed at teachers of middle school aged students and it is expected that students have already participated in the experiences offered by the Kids Helping Kids website (namely 'Walk in my shoes' and 'Hear my story' components).

Aim of Kids helping Kids

Kids helping Kids is a Smith Family initiative which aims to shine the spotlight on the issue of disadvantage, to raise awareness, develop understanding and inspire kids to take action in partnership with The Smith Family to break the cycle of disadvantage for other Aussie kids.
